Both driver and navigator will find themselves immersed in the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The visual senses tantalized at each turn. Running water, open fields, and twisting roads will unfold before your eyes, exposing the majesty of the North Carolina Piedmont. </p><p>Such alluring beauty can be mesmerizing though. As the undulating hills draw you into their inescapable fold a distant voice will murmur a soft musing- a question, a riddle, a witticism. Slowly you begin to hear the persistence of the murmur which has become edged with harsher tones. Eventually, it erupts and breaks the trance of the road. Finally you realize that there is another person in the car and they\'re asking you a question - What was that...? It may have been an answer to number two. Number two? What? Your bewilderment prompts a barrage of questions: Where have you been? Aren\'t you paying attention? Don\'t you want to win this? With the clouds lifted, you come back to earth filled with a renewed vigor, a focus to win and a desire to finish the 2008 Porsche Parade Gimmick Rally- The Fun Pun Bugaboo Run.</p><p>This year\'s event takes the traditional gimmick rally and adds a little twist. Participants will be given turn-by-turn directions and a list of questions/clues pertaining to the route. However, this is where it gets fun. The clues will be in the form of a pun and/or witticism. So both the driver and navigator will have to put on their thinking caps, throw logic out the window and hope for the best. As the route proceeds, participants will come to a point where they will have to make a decision. Do I go this way or that way? One route will have more questions/clues worth fewer points each; the other route will have fewer questions worth more, but will be tougher to solve/find. </p><p>Three quarters through the route everyone comes back together, regardless of which path chosen. The decision on which path to take adds some gamesmanship and an added dimension to the rally. Do you gamble and go the route with tougher questions worth more and risk missing one; or do you take the easier route and deal with more questions?? The team with the most points wins.</p><p>The actual run time of this years route will be about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs long. However, you will need to plan on about thirty minutes travel time to get to the starting location and back to the hotel from the finish.</p><p>Our goal is to make sure everyone finishes the rally and enjoys themselves. With turn-by-turn directions you\'ll have the leisure to enjoy the picturesque scenery.
