Art Show
The Parade Art Show displays Porsche-related artwork created by club members. Show viewers get to see a broad spectrum of art media about their favorite subject. Entrants get a chance to show that PCAers can do more than prepare for a Concours or heel and toe at the track.
The categories include painting, drawing and prints, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and crafts and wearable art. Entrants will include children and professional and amateur artists who must be members or family members of PCA. They must have created the work themselves. All entrants can submit their art to be judged by a professional artist, or they can just display their work for other members to enjoy. If they want, entrants can offer their work for sale.
The defined Art Show participants above may also donate an item for the Silent Auction which raises money for a local charity to be named.
Due to the popularity of the Garages to Die For, the Trophy Room, Porsche Pets and Porsche Babies at previous Parades, ALL of these will be incorporated into the 2008 Art Show. If you have just one photo or photos that can be contained on one to three scrapbook pages, feel free to join in and \'show off\' your photos of your garage, your trophy room, your Porsche pet, or your little one\'s first Porsche experience.
The only requirement is that whatever you display must be Porsche related. You must present whatever you bring so that it is already assembled. It is not the responsibility of the Art Show Workers to assemble your photo album or set up your art work for display.
One session will be offered to give pointers on how to set up Your Porsche scrapbook for all those thousands of photos that you or someone you know has taken. Scrap booking pages with ideas on how to get organized and layout your album will be available during that session.
GET CREATIVE-share your talents and pride with your Porsche Friends.
